I'm #3, but I can't get past the cost associated with a seminary degree. Too hard to justify spending all that money when it's not for a career and not for a ministry position. My personal library has many graduate level books and I love learning as much as possible about the Bible, theology, church history, patristics, and so on. I just wish the costs were not so extremely high for seminary, because I know it would push me deeper and farther than I have been able to go on my own. At least I hope it would.
Its a shame, I agree. SeminaryNow (the video platform) is a cheaper way to learn from scholars, or biblicaltraining.org, or you could look into certificate programs. Or just read good books!
Of course not. And podcasts! I listen to a lot of podcasts and watch a lot of YouTube. Interviews and discussions, mainly. And stories about Sasquatch. ;-)
So excited to follow along with this series, Dr. Gupta! Having worked within Christian Higher Ed for the past decade and being married to a pastor who is completing his Master of Theology currently, I've often contemplated attending seminary myself, but have wondered about the how, when, and where questions surrounding it all, particularly regarding finding a seminary that is both encouraging and passionate about women in ministry/theology. All that to say, I'm looking forward to learning from what you will be sharing and am grateful for your work!

I'll probably stick to the last suggestion! :-)
Don't forget about Youtube!
