Congratulations to Dr. Brant Pitre for this outstanding monograph. Pitre argues that, despite how many Jesus scholars have concluded to the contrary, Jesus did in fact talk about himself in terms of a divine identity. This is not a piece of basic apologetics; Pitre is well-respected as a Gospels scholar, and his argumentation in this volume is careful, engages in widely-respected scholarship, and convincing.
Still working and highlighting my way through the book. He's an excellent, clear, and organized writer, full of whit and clearly knows his stuff. I've learned a lot!
