"Slow Prayer" Podcast Series is Complete
Slow Theology, with Dr. AJ Swoboda and Dr. Nijay Gupta
Those of you who are new to my Substack may not know that I co-host a Podcast with Dr. AJ Swoboda called SLOW THEOLOGY (SIMPLE FAITH FOR CHAOTIC TIMES). We talk about the hard stuff of our faith with integrity, humility, wisdom, and grace; facing the doubts, fears, and disappointments, but clinging fast to Jesus because he has the words of eternal life.
Our most recent series is on the Lord’s Prayer, and is called “SLOW PRAYER.” AJ and I tried to journey slowly through each line of the Lord’s Prayer, talking through the heart of Jesus as he gave this prayer, the theological dynamics of each verse, and how it shapes our prayer life, our spirituality, and how we “Cry for the Kingdom” (as theologian Stanley Grenz aptly put it). AJ and I trying to provide tools to build a healthy and mature faith that is resilient, authentic, and powerfully connected to the rich resources of the historic church.
If you are new to Slow Theology, try it out, see if it’s helpful; if you listen regularly, thank you so much, and take note of the latest and last episode of the series: ep 43, “Praying ‘Deliver Us From Evil’.” More Slow Theology to come: next up, we are talking about AJ’s new (and stellar) book The Gift of Thorns!
Fantastic series
